Looking for an Edge in Job Searching?
As we all have heard about it and are affected by it, the economy still has not been doing the best. Jobs are lost, and the unemployment rate is still high. So how is one supposed to find a job in this fragile economy with so many others attempting the same thing? How do you get an edge in job searching? Well, one easy and free opportunity that is open to all the public is St. John's Lutheran Church's (on 27th Street & Oakwood Rd) Resumé & Interview Workshop.
The workshop will be held at St. John's Lutheran School (just south and east of the church building) on Tuesday evenings at the end of February into the middle of March. The workshop will be taught by Mrs. Jana Baumann, who is a key figure in the hiring process at Midwest Dialysis Center.
Mrs. Baumann will be assisting people in developing professional resumés that will help you get noticed by potential employers, giving you an edge on the rest of the competition.
Besides helping with the resumés, Mrs. Baumann will coach each individual in the interview process. Everyone will learn the proper etiquette necessary for interviewing.
As mentioned before, the cost is free to everyone. The workshop will be held over a period of four different Tuesday evenings. The dates are Feb. 23rd, March 2nd, March 9th & March 16th at 7:00pm in one of the school classrooms. Spots are limited so register by emailing stjohnsoakwood@gmail.com or call 414.761.0124 and be sure to leave your name and phone number.
