CHILDREN’S MEMORIAL DEDICATION AND BALLOON LAUNCH
The Compassionate Friends of Milwaukee County will hold their annual Balloon Launch and Dedication program on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 6:00 PM, at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Ave, Oak Creek. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
The Compassionate Friends is a support group for bereaved parents whose child died too soon regardless of their age or the cause death.
Over 400 names of children have already been inscribed on the wall that surrounds the memorial. The new names added to the Children’s Memorial this year will be dedicated. This event will include the dedication, followed by a balloon launch. Each family will have an opportunity to write a note to his or her child and attach it to a balloon. Once everyone is ready, all balloons will be released simultaneously.
All families and friends who have experienced the death of a child, grandchild or sibling are welcome to attend this very poignant ceremony.
