Honoring Frank Cerutti - Father of Oak Creek Little League

June 25, 2010

On Wednesday, June 30th at 5:30 p.m. before the scheduled championship game for Junior Boys baseball, Oak Creek Little League will honor Frank Cerutti, the "Father of Oak Creek Little League" by naming Field number 1 "FRANK CERUTTI FIELD".

Anyone who has been a part of Oak Creek Little League, from it's early beginnings over 25 years ago to the present, is encouraged to join with local dignataries in recognizing Frank for his efforts long ago that started OCLL and caused hundreds of volunteers to continue his work of providing baseball and softball programs to thousands of Oak Creek boys and girls...many of whom are now adults and have children of their own in the program.

With Franks hard work, the City of Oak Creek provided a long term lease to OCLL for land that has grown into one of the best little league complexes in the region, recoginzed by Little League by the yearly District and State tournaments that are held there.

County Executive Scott Walker has also declared June 30th as "Frank Cerutti Day" thoughout Milwaukee County in recognition of Franks committment to the youth of Oak Creek.

State Rep. Honadel and State Sen. Plale have also joined efforts in honoring Frank for his service.

Oak Creek Little League is an all-volunteer organization supported in large by dozens of local Oak Creek busniesses. For more information on Oak Creek Little League, visit their website at: www.eteamz.com/oakcreekll
