Milwaukee Liederkranz comes to Oak Creek!
The Milwaukee Liederkranz will perform at the Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 21 at the 10:45 a.m. worship service.

The Milwaukee Liederkranz is a male chorus that sings a wide repertoire of songs from German Lieder to German drinking songs. It has given public concerts every year since its founding, even during the first and second world wars. The group’s membership numbers were high when there were large numbers of German immigrants in Milwaukee. There were 135 active singers in 1932; today there are 36 active singers.
The singers continue to sing mostly in German. The chorus has won the singing competition of the Wisconsin German-American choruses eight times since 1976.
