Knights' winning streak halted by Case
The Oak Creek girls basketball team's four-game conference winning streak came to an end with a 57-41 loss to visiting Racine Case on Friday.
Case’s Samantha Logic (22) and Jameeka Bouie (21) combined for 43 points as the Eagles remained tied for the Southeast Conference lead at 7-1, 10-3 overall.
The Knights (10-4, 5-3) held a 21-20 lead at halftime behind Angela Rodriguez and Ashley Luke, who scored 18 of their team's points, but Case shut down the duo in the second half, limiting them to only nine combined points.
After five quick points from the Knights’ Cydney Weisflog trimmed Case's lead to 46-37 with 2:25 remaining, Logic drove the lane and dished a no-look pass to Bouie for an easy layup to seal the win.
Case shot 20-for-48 (41.7 percent) and forced 16 turnovers.
