1Light bulbs were stolen and a china cabinet, light fixture and several windows were broken at a foreclosed residence in the 8100 block of South 13th Street between Aug. 1 and Aug. 30. Damage and loss are collectively estimated at $300.
2Seven RV batteries, a total value of $1,050, were stolen from rental campers in a gated area at Hanna Trailers, 7575 S. Howell Ave., between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and 8 a.m. Aug. 28.
3An iPod Touch, a GPS unit, a cellphone charger cord and an iPod charger cord were stolen from an unlocked car in the 8600 block of South Stonefield Drive between 9 p.m. Aug. 27 and 7 a.m. Aug. 28. Loss is estimated at $490.
4A student reported her bank card, driver's license and school ID were stolen while she was attending class at Milwaukee Area Technical College, 6665 S. Howell Ave., between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 28.
5A license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 7300 block of South Quincy Avenue between 11:30 a.m. Aug. 28 and 8 a.m. Aug. 29.
6An off-duty auxiliary police officer saw two men take metal from the railroad tracks in the 1500 block of East Drexel Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. Aug. 28. The officer followed their vehicle to the 1000 block of South Montana Avenue, where he made contact with them. The items were placed in the impound lot and police are following up with the Union Pacific Police.
7A resident reported the theft of $600 worth of jewelry from her residence in the 8300 block of South Verdev Drive at 8 p.m. Aug. 28. The owner told police she believed family members and their friend stole the jewelry and pawned it Aug. 23.
8An 18-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting after she concealed $234 of clothing in her purse at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at 7:25 p.m. Aug. 29.
9A Wii controller and a Wii nunchuck, a value of $60, were stolen at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., Aug. 29. The suspect, described as a six-foot-tall white male in his mid-20s with a thin build, cut the items off a locking peg hook and exited the store.
10Two iPod Touches, a value of $480, were stolen from a car's glove box in the 2400 block of West Briar Lake Way between 3:50 p.m. Aug. 30 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31.
11A catalytic converter was stolen off a car at Applebee's, 7135 S. 13th St., prior to 11 p.m. Aug. 30.
12A bag containing work aprons, a Kindle and a phone charger was stolen out of a locked car in the 800 block of East Sommers Drive between 1 and 6:20 a.m. Aug. 31. Loss is estimated at $75. A hammer was used to break the passenger-side window; the hammer was left at the scene. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $300.
13A 25-year-old Racine man was arrested for shoplifting $60 worth of light bulbs at Auto Zone, 311 E. Puetz Road, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 31.
14A $200 trolling motor, a $300 fish finder, a $90 battery and a $50 oar were stolen from a boat in a yard in the 7200 block of South Howell Avenue between 7 p.m. Aug. 31 and 6:15 a.m. Sept. 1.
15A 12-pound anchor and two life jackets, a value of $145, were stolen off a boat and a $300 metal detector was stolen out of a truck in the 7600 block of South Clement Avenue between 9 p.m. Aug. 31 and 9 a.m. Sept. 1. The metal detector was later found in a ditch in the 7200 block of South Clement Avenue.
16A 55-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing $101 worth of food in jeans at PDQ Food Store, 6300 S. 27th St., at 10:15 p.m. Aug. 31. The man also was cited for possession of a crack pipe.
17A man's wallet containing identification and a Social Security card was stolen out of a festival-goer's back pocket while he was at Oak Creek Lion's Fest, 9327 S. Shepard Ave., prior to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 1.
18A 36-year-old Franklin man was arrested for shoplifting after he concealed $20 worth of solder inside his front pants pocket at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 9:55 a.m. Sept. 3.
19A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for second-degree sexual assault of a minor for indecently touching his stepdaughter while in a truck at Love's Travel Center, 9650 S. 20th St., at 8:40 a.m. Aug. 28. The assault allegedly took place in 2009.
20A 24-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of marijuana at Lion's Fest, 9327 S. Shepard Ave., at 10:20 p.m. Aug. 31.
21A 39-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police found 3.50 grams of marijuana in a kitchen cupboard and 0.90 grams in his sock while investigating a family dispute in the 400 block of West Sunnyview Drive at 3:40 p.m. Sept. 1.
22A 23-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, and cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at Riverton Road and Sharon Drive at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 29. His blood-alcohol content was 0.14.
23A 22-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for speeding in the 1300 block of West Rawson Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Aug. 31. His BAC was 0.12.
24A 45-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after he tipped his motorcycle over while he was stopped in front of a squad car at a red light in the 8700 block of South Shepard Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 1. He was taken for a blood draw, the result of which was unavailable.
25A 46-year-old woman Oak Creek woman was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with unknown injuries after her car was rear-ended by a vehicle at Howell Avenue and Centennial Drive shortly after 4:30 p.m. Aug. 28. The driver of the striking car, a 49-year-old Oak Creek woman, was also taken to the hospital with injuries. She was cited for inattentive driving.
26A screen was ripped open and a window was broken during an attempted entry at a home in the 8500 block of South 13th Street between 9:45 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Aug. 31. The suspect, a 48-year-old Oak Creek woman, was identified through a time-stamped receipt for liquor that was left at the scene.
27A home's front window was broken in the 8300 block of South Yorkshire Drive at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 2. Damage is estimated at $200.
28A mailbox in the 3000 block of East Puetz Road was destroyed between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Sept. 2. Damage is estimated at $50.
29A 20-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after canine officer Bronco found a glass pipe with THC residue in the driver-side door pocket of a car during a traffic stop in the 9300 block of South Chicago Road at 7:35 p.m. Aug. 28. The man also was cited because his vehicle did not have license plates and he was driving with a suspended license.
30A 56-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for urinating in public after an officer saw him relieving himself outside at Lion's Fest, 9327 S. Shepard Ave., at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 31.
Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 25 rescue calls and two fire calls between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3.
31Firefighters and police officers responded to a trash bin fire at the Apartment Homes of Wildwood, 7926 S. Wildwood Drive, at 7:20 p.m. Aug. 31. A 3-foot by 6-foot plastic trash bin was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived on scene to extinguish the blaze. Loss is estimated at $440. The cause of the fire is unknown.
