1Tools and yard equipment were stolen from an unlocked garage in the 9000 block of South 13th Street between 9 p.m. Oct. 19 and 8 a.m. Oct. 20. Loss is estimated at $2,000.
2A $125 radio/battery, a $125 portable shop vacuum and a $200 cordless reciprocating saw were stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1000 block of West Glen Crossing Drive between midnight and noon Oct. 21. Two cars in the garage were rummaged through, and a purse containing two wallets, credit cards, a driver's license and gift cards was stolen out of a car parked on the street.
3Someone tried to break into a house in the 2100 block of East Green Valley Lane between 3:30 and 6:45 p.m. Oct. 28. When the resident returned home he noticed someone had attempted to pry his back patio door open with a screwdriver. No one got into the house and nothing was taken.
4A tote bag containing a laptop computer, two textbooks and a zip drive were stolen from a locked vehicle at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., shortly before 2 p.m. Oct. 19. Loss is estimated at $970. A window was broken to gain access. Surveillance footage of the theft is being reviewed by police.
5A $2,000 MacBook Pro, a $50 flash drive, a $200 Kindle Fire, a $50 backpack and a $300 iPod were stolen from a locked car at Young Dance Academy, 181 W. Marquette Ave., between 9:30 and 11:35 a.m. Oct. 21. A window was broken to gain entry.
6A $30 purse containing a checkbook, debit card, miscellaneous ID and credit cards was stolen from a locked van outside Young Dance Academy, 181 W. Marquette Ave., between 9:30 and 11:35 a.m. Oct. 21. A window was broken to gain entry. Damage is estimated at $300.
7A leather fanny pack containing a wallet, driver's license, eight credit cards, two debit cards, Medicare and Social Security cards, keys and a prescription for a narcotic was stolen from a locked car at Oak Creek Diner, 6874 S. 13th St., between 10 and 10:45 a.m. Oct. 21. A window was broken to gain access.
8A stack of shingles was stolen from a yard in the 8300 block of South Shepard Avenue about 1 p.m. Oct. 22.
9A tool bag, boots, two garage door openers, CDs and a CD holder were stolen from two unlocked cars in the 8500 block of South Braeburn Drive between 6 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 23. Loss is estimated at $760. A garage was rummaged through, but nothing was taken from inside the garage.
10A $1,000 connecting pipe and electronic sensors were stolen off a urinal in the men's restroom at Shell Gas, 2170 W. Ryan Road, between 6 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Oct. 23.
11Tools valued at more than $2,000 were stolen from four locked construction vehicles outside the temporary concrete plant in the 600 block of West College Avenue between noon Oct. 23 and 8:10 a.m. Oct. 24.
12A 44-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen concealing $253 worth of saw blades in their coats at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 23. The 44-year-old man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after the officer found a glass pipe hidden in his left sock.
13A woman's purse was stolen out of a locked vehicle at Harvest Community Church, 6612 S. Howell Ave., between 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 24. A window was broken to gain entry.
14Earrings valued at $1,000 and $108 were stolen from a home in the 9700 block of South Bluegrass Place prior to 1 p.m. Oct. 24. A cleaning woman is suspected.
15A $120 camera and a $250 GPS unit were stolen out of a locked truck at Comfort Suites, 6362 S. 13th St., between 6 p.m. Oct. 24 and 6 a.m. Oct. 25. A window was broken to gain entry. Damage is estimated at $350.
16A 21-year-old Cudahy woman and a 24-year-old Oak Creek man were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen changing price tags on paint cans and concealing a piece of pipe at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 26.
17A backpack containing two textbooks and a calculator, valued at $320, and $15 in change were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1500 block of East Meadowview Drive between 9 p.m. Oct. 26 and 7 a.m. Oct. 27.
18A 53-year-old Michigan man was cited for possession of marijuana at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave., at 9:10 p.m. Oct. 24.
19A 16-year-old Oak Creek boy was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a canine unit alert and subsequent police search turned up 0.20 grams of marijuana and two glass pipes inside his car at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, shortly before 2 p.m. Oct. 25.
20A 34-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after an employee reported an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru at Taco Bell, 8261 S. Howell Ave., shortly before 1 a.m. Oct. 20.
21A 34-year-old Darlington man was arrested for drunken driving after he drove his vehicle over the grass on a property in the 400 block of West Forest Hill Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 22. His blood-alcohol content was 0.20.
22A 48-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving, fourth offense, after he struck a parked car, then stood in the road and refused to get out of traffic in the 700 block of East Puetz Road shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 24. His BAC was 0.18.
23A 26-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving after she ran a red light and almost hit a mailbox in the 10500 block of South Nicholson Road at 12:55 a.m. Oct. 27. Her BAC was 0.17.
24A 64-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after he struck a parked car and knocked over a construction barrel while leaving the American Legion parking lot in the 9300 block of South Shepard Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 27. His BAC was not available.
25A 26-year-old West Allis man was arrested for drunken driving after he was found sleeping behind of the wheel of his car with the engine running in the 2300 block of West Briar Lake Way at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 28. His BAC was 0.14.
26A 27-year-old Mukwonago man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, and cited for failure to properly install an ignition interlock device in the 6300 block of South Howell Avenue at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 28. His BAC was 0.14.
27A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for making an illegal U-turn in the 7100 block of South 13th Street at 2:40 a.m. Oct. 29. His BAC was 0.08.
28A 43-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of shoulder pain, and her passenger, a 66-year-old woman was taken for treatment of a cut on her hand after their car struck a vehicle that ran a red light at 13th Street and Puetz Road at 2:25 p.m. Oct. 25. The driver of the other vehicle, a 65-year-old St. Francis man, was cited for violating a red traffic signal.
29A 78-year-old Oak Creek man was taken to the hospital for treatment of back pain after he failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and was struck by a car at Elm and Chicago roads at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 28. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 62-year-old South Milwaukee woman, and her passenger, a 54-year-old woman, also were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Oak Creek man was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
30"Get reef" was written in green paint on the retaining wall behind Pick 'n Save, 2320 W. Ryan Road, prior to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 25.
31Two cars were scratched while parked at Apartment Homes of Wildwood, 8038 S. Wildwood Drive, between 8 p.m. Oct. 25 and 11 a.m. Oct. 26. Damage is estimated at $500 each.
32A car was scratched and the passenger-side mirror was broken outside Tazino's, 8201 S. Howell Ave., prior to 5:25 p.m. Oct. 27. Police are following up with a possible suspect.
33A 23-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he punched a 17-year-old multiple times in the head in the 1000 block of West Violet Drive at 5:20 p.m. Oct. 22. He also was taken into custody after he admitted he was drinking, which is a violation of his parole terms, and was turned over to the Department of Corrections.
A 16-year-old Oak Creek girl was arrested for disorderly conduct after she pushed her stepfather into a closet door during an argument at their residence, causing him to be taken to the hospital with a severe bloody nose at 7 p.m. Oct. 22.
34A 15-year-old Oak Creek boy was cited for disorderly conduct after he pushed another 15-year-old boy into a wall, causing a laceration on his ear, at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 23.
35A 35-year-old Oak Creek man, a 33-year-old South Milwaukee man and a 31-year-old South Milwaukee woman were arrested for disorderly conduct after a fight at Bender Park Pub, 9117 S. Fifth Ave., at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 24. Additionally, the Oak Creek man was cited for obstructing an investigation for giving misleading information to police.
36A 39-year-old Franklin man was cited for disorderly conduct for grabbing his girlfriend by her arm, ripping off two of her necklaces and tearing some clothing during an argument in the 3800 block of East High Street at 3:45 a.m. Oct. 26.
A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for physical abuse of a child/recklessly causing injury on Oct. 27 after his 9-month-old son was brought to the emergency room at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin with six fractured ribs at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
37Firefighters and police responded to a report of excessive smoke at a residence in the 900 block of East Mary Lane at 4:12 p.m. Oct. 23. The Oak Creek Fire Department determined that it appeared there may have been some clothes that were left on top of a power strip, which may have caused a small fire in one of the bedrooms, but the rest of the house had only light smoke and no structural damage. Damage is estimated at $500.
Oak Creek police responded to nine domestic violence calls and assisted with 27 rescue calls and three fire calls between Oct. 19 and Oct. 28.
