A $1,200 Trek 2.1 bicycle and a $600 Trek 7300 bicycle were stolen from a locked garage in the 300 block of East Darlene Lane between early November, 2012, and 1 p.m. Jan. 26. A locked side door was pried open.
About $5,000 worth of tools, $400 worth of fishing gear, a $200 Mongoose bicycle and a $270 12-gauge shotgun in a case with a scope and camouflage sling were stolen from a locked garage in the 400 block of East Darlene Lane between Jan. 22 and 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24. An access door was forced open.
A $1,500 laptop computer, a $600 iPad2 and $1,000 were stolen from a home in the 400 block of East Ryan Road between 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jan. 24. A front door was forced open to enter the home.
A 46-year-old Racine woman was arrested for employee theft about 1:45 p.m. Jan. 23 after it was discovered she took up to $800 out of the cash register over a period of a few weeks at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave.
A 14-year-old girl was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing several items of clothing at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., about 6:25 p.m. Jan. 23.
A 34-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting about $225 worth of baby formula, diapers and soda at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at 7 p.m. Jan. 23.
A 27-year-old man was cited for shoplifting work gloves at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 10:55 a.m. Jan. 28.
A 27-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting $74 worth of groceries at Pick 'n Save, 6462 S. 27th St., at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 28.
A 20-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for shoplifting after he concealed about $320 worth of pants and shirts underneath his clothing at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at 3:55 p.m. Jan. 28. A second man fled the store with an unknown number of T-shirts and pairs of jeans.
A $175 cased pellet rifle gun with a $150 scope was stolen from a locked van at Candlewood Suites, 6440 S. 13th St., between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. Jan. 28. A window was broken, resulting in $300 worth of damage.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested for battery after he slapped a 34-year-old woman at a residence in the 7900 block of South Wildwood Drive at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 22.
A 46-year-old Racine woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police found a plastic bag containing marijuana and a pipe with burned THC residue in her purse after she was arrested for employee theft at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., about 2 p.m. Jan. 23.
A 22-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of marijuana and Percocet during a warrant search at a home in the 300 block of West Ryan Road at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 25.
A 27-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for trespassing after an officer saw him drive behind Cummins NPower, 800 W. Ryan Road, get out of his car and attempt to climb a locked fence to access the rear of the building about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 23. The man stated he just wanted to get inside and check out the business because they were advertising for employment. His blood-alcohol content was 0.18.
A 29-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, driving with a revoked license and possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle after he drove over a median and struck a stop sign in the 8500 block of South Howell Avenue, drove south in the northbound lane, then swerved back over the median into the southbound lane and came to a stop on the shoulder about 12:35 a.m. Jan. 24. He refused sobriety testing and was taken into custody.
A 27-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for violating a traffic signal in the 8300 block of South Howell Avenue after she made a left turn on a red light at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 27. The woman refused to take a breath test and was taken into custody.
A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and on a West Allis Police Department warrant for battery after she was pulled over for going 50 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 1800 block of East Drexel Avenue at 1:10 a.m. Jan. 27. She also was cited for speeding, obstructing an investigation and driving with a suspended license. Her BAC was 0.22.
A 31-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving with a suspended license in the 2200 block of West Ryan Road about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 27. His BAC was 0.21.
A 23-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 10500 block of South Howell Avenue at 3:20 a.m. Jan. 27. She refused to take a breath test.
A 55-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for drunken driving after officers found his vehicle partially on the median in the 1600 block of East College Avenue at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 28. His BAC was 0.29.
A 44-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for possessing open intoxicants and failing to keep a vehicle under control after police found him lying semi-conscious in a damaged and disabled car in the 1800 block of East Puetz Road at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 28. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
A 50-year-old Oak Creek man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan with lower back injuries after his car was rear-ended by a vehicle in the 9900 block of South Chicago Road at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 24. The striking vehicle, driven by a 34-year-old Oak Creek man, then struck an electric pole. The 34-year-old man was cited for following too closely and the 50-year-old man was cited for not having insurance.
A three-car accident occurred at Rawson and Pennsylvania avenues after a 60-year-old Franklin woman driving east on Rawson Avenue rear-ended a vehicle turning northbound onto Pennsylvania Avenue, then veered into the right lane and was struck by an eastbound vehicle, which then struck and knocked over a traffic light at 6:50 a.m. Jan. 25. No injuries were reported. The Franklin woman was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
A 51-year-old South Milwaukee woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital with knee and chest pain after she lost control of her vehicle in the 3000 block of East Highway 100 due to icy conditions, crossed over the center median and left the roadway on the south side of the road, then traveled about 200 feet and struck a tree at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 27. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
A garage window was shot out with a BB gun at Del Sievert Trucking, 1610 E. Rawson Ave., between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and 5:15 a.m. Jan. 24. Damage is estimated at $50.
A window was broken at AAA Sales & Engineering, 1120 W. Northbranch Drive, prior to 11 p.m. Jan. 27. Damage is estimated at $800.
A man called police after a stranger approached his car in the 9800 block of South 13th Street, offered him $100 for a ride and then started pounding on the car windows at 8:25 p.m. Jan. 22. The stranger, a white man in his mid-40s with a goatee, left prior to police arrival.
An employee called police after a 51-year-old man became loud and boisterous, kicked a shelf over and chased the employee around the store with his wheelchair after he found out his lottery ticket wasn't a winner at Speedway, 8667 S. Howell Ave., at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 24. The man eventually left the store and no charges were filed.
Oak Creek police responded to 19 rescue calls between Jan. 22 and Jan. 28.
