THEFT

1A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was arrested for shoplifting a $19 bottle of brandy at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 15. The theft was captured on video surveillance and the suspect was identified and cited on Feb. 18.

2A 1991 Honda Civic was stolen from a parking stall in the 7900 block of South Wildwood Drive between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 19. The car was left unlocked. The car is valued at $50.

3A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was taken into custody for having a valid warrant with the Franklin Police Department for vandalism after he was arrested for shoplifting candy at Phillips 66, 150 W. Rawson Ave., at 3 p.m. Feb. 19.

4A 36-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 19 after she placed expensive items on the scale in the self checkout lane and rang them through as fruits and vegetables to get discounted prices at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave. The woman did this four times between Jan. 18 and Feb. 13, resulting in a $58 loss to the store.

5A $50 Swiss Army knife and about $20 in change was stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 1300 block of East Maass Drive between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 4:30 a.m. Feb. 20.

6A $200 GPS unit a $25 multi-tool set and $30 in change were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 10300 block of South Shepard Avenue between 9 p.m. Feb. 19 and 4:25 a.m. Feb. 20. The investigating officer found bicycle tracks and footprints leading from the vehicle to another residence and are following up with a possible suspect.

7Change (under $100) was stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in the 1500 block of East Elm Road between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 5 a.m. Feb. 20.

8A smartphone and a wallet containing about $300 in cash, a driver's license, Social Security card, nine or 10 credit cards and miscellaneous paperwork were stolen from a man's coat pocket at Southshore Dental Group, 7270 S. 13th St., between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Feb. 21.

9A woman called police to report her 31-year-old son stole $420 worth of Alprazolam and Oxycodone while he was staying with her at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave., at 9:25 a.m. Feb. 21. The victim told police her son might have gone to Florida and officers were unable to find him.

10A 52-year-old St. Francis man was arrested for theft on Feb. 23 after he admitted stealing tools from a friend he was living with in the 10000 block of South Nicholson Road, and then tried to sell some of them at Al's Auto Salvage in Franklin between 6 p.m. Feb. 22 and 1:15 p.m. Feb. 23.

11A $300 digital media player was reported stolen from a residence in the 1700 block of East Drexel Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Feb. 23. The resident told police she believed it was taken on Feb. 20.

12A resident reported her daughter's $550 smartphone was stolen after she dropped it while playing in a community area in the 8700 block of South Oak Park Drive around 7:05 p.m. Feb. 23.

13A $200 purse containing a driver's license, a checkbook, numerous credit cards and $500 cash was stolen from a locked vehicle parked at Xperience Fitness, 8601 S. Howell Ave., at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 23. The passenger-side window was broken to gain entry.

ASSAULT

14A 27-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested on state charges of battery and criminal damage to property after he physically assaulted a woman at a residence in the 8600 block of South Chicago Road, pulled her hair and threw her cellphone against a wall when she told him she was going to call police at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 20.

DRUG POSSESSION

15An officer investigating an occupied vehicle at Camelot Park, 7385 S. Chapel Drive, arrested a 19-year-old South Milwaukee woman for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after finding at total of 2 grams of marijuana in her car and a freshly rolled joint in the armrest at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 21.

16A 31-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police saw a gram of marijuana on the nightstand in his room at Ramada Milwaukee Airport Hotel, 6331 S. 13th St., at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 22.

17An officer assisting the Fire Department on a rescue call arrested a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman after a K-9 unit search of her room found 6.2 grams of marijuana in her purse at the Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., at 8:55 p.m. Feb. 22.

18A 23-year-old Franklin man was arrested on state charges of possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a K-9 Unit search found a pouch containing heroin, needles and other paraphernalia under the driver's seat of his car during a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East Drexel Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 22.

19A 41-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a K-9 unit found a used heroin syringe under her car seat during a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Puetz Road at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 23.

20Officers responding to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the 3800 block of East Oakwood Road arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Oak Creek man, for possession of drug paraphernalia after they saw a glass marijuana pipe in plain view on his front console while questioning him at 3:20 a.m. Feb. 24. He was also cited for inattentive driving.

21Two 18-year-old Oak Creek men were arrested on state charges of criminal trespassing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after they were found inside an unoccupied, foreclosed home in the 8000 block of South 13th Street at about 4 p.m. Feb. 24.

22A manager called police at 3:55 p.m. Feb. 25 to report an unknown subject shoplifted 18 jackets, valued at $1,260, at Love's Travel Center, 9650 S. 20th St., at 3:18 a.m. Feb. 11. The suspect placed the jackets in a black garbage bag and exited the north side of the store. The theft was discovered when inventory was conducted.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

23A 48-year-old Iowa man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway on 27th Street and Ryan Road at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 23. His blood alcohol content was 0.16.

24A 56-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for unsafe lane deviation after an officer pulled him over for swerving between lanes while traveling westbound in the 1400 block of West Rawson Avenue at 10:45 p.m. Feb. 24. His BAC was 0.20.

VANDALISM

25The front driver-side window was smashed on a vehicle parked at Comfort Suites, 6362 S. 13th St., sometime between Feb. 17 and 5 p.m. Feb. 20. The owner of the vehicle was out of town and it was unknown if anything was stolen from the car.

26A resident called police after finding someone spray-painted derogatory words on his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway in the 8200 block of South Wilding Drive between 8 and 11:55 p.m. Feb. 22. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $500.

OTHER

27An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drugged driving and possession of marijuana and cited for speeding after police found a partially smoked marijuana blunt tucked behind his left ear during a traffic stop in the 800 block of East Rawson Avenue at 1:35 a.m. Feb. 20. The passenger in his car, a 19-year-old South Milwaukee man, was also arrested for possession of marijuana.

28An anonymous caller reported seeing a very large coyote or wolf walking toward Cedar Hills Elementary School, 2225 W. Sycamore Ave., at 8 a.m. Feb. 21. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the animal.

29A man walking his dog near the entrance of Bender Park, 4503 E. Ryan Road, called police after he found a security lock box with a pried open lid in the snow at 7:50 a.m. Feb. 23. The box contained four checkbooks and two ledgers belonging to an Oak Creek resident in the 8000 block of South Wildwood Drive, who stated the box was stolen during a burglary at his home last year. The resident also stated that $750 was missing from the box.

30A 37-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for disorderly conduct after he became angry, used profanities and began knocking on a woman's car window while she was making a wide turn in an attempt to park her Hummer in a parking space at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 25.

Oak Creek police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with 19 rescue calls and three fire calls between Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.
