1 Five chainsaws, valued at $2,500, were stolen from vehicles at Wisconsin Kenilworth, 9350 S. 22nd St., between 2 p.m. May 1 and 8:05 a.m. May 6.
2 A woman was arrested for shoplifting a $70 curling iron at Sally's Beauty, 8907 S. Howell Ave., at about 1 p.m. May 6.
3 A male was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing a bottle of liquor at Piggly Wiggly, 2201 E. Rawson Ave., at about 2 p.m. May 6.
4 A man was arrested for stealing $550 worth of library books at Milwaukee Area Technical College, 6665 S. Howell Ave., at about 3 p.m. May 6, and then returned to the library and attempted to steal more books at about 10:30 a.m. May 7. The man was later arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia during the arrest search.
5 An unidentified male shoplifted a bottle of brandy at 7-Eleven, 1225 W. Rawson Ave., at about 3:45 p.m. May 7.
6 A man was arrested for operating a vehicle without his employer's consent at Enterprise Car Rental, 561 W. College Ave., at about 3 p.m. May 8. The man was later arrested for possession of marijuana after officers searched his employee locker. Police also confiscated a gray hoodie, a black ski mask, black gloves, a .40-caliber handgun from the locker.
7 A caller reported her smartphone, valued at $600, was stolen from a residence in the 8100 block of South Glenfield Drive between midnight and 7 a.m. May 8.
8 A tailgate was stolen off a truck at Value Inn, 9420 S. 20th St., between 5:30 p.m. May 9 and 9:45 a.m. May 10.
9 A woman reported that $783 was stolen from a money box during an organized dance at the Oelschlaeger-Dallman American Legion Post 434, 9327 S. Shepard Ave., prior to 2:30 p.m. May 10.
10 Officers responding to a general burglar alarm at Blain's Farm & Fleet, 501 W. Rawson Ave., arrested a man for stealing 18 pallets, valued at $180, from the rear of the business at about 8:50 p.m. May 11.
11 A $300 cellphone was stolen from an employee's locker at Applied Plastics, 7320 S. 6th St., between 2 and 3 p.m. May 12.
12 A smartphone valued at $500 was stolen at Willow Heights Park, 1111 W. Weatherly Drive, prior to 6:30 p.m. May 12.
· An Oak Creek woman was arrested for physical abuse of a child after she came home intoxicated, grabbed her daughter by the hair and threw her around the kitchen after her daughter called her grandmother for help at about 1 a.m. May 9.
13 A woman reported she was held against her will, choked until she lost consciousness and raped by a man after she refused to have sex with him in a motel room at Sunrise Shores, 8481 S. Fifth Ave., at about 8 a.m. May 11. The victim was transported to Sinai Hospital.
14 A male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia (a crack pipe) and carrying a concealed weapon (a lead pipe) during a traffic stop in the 9500 block of South 13th Street at about 9:30 p.m. May 7.
15 A male was arrested for possession of marijuana after the car he was riding in was pulled over for running a red light on East Drexel and South Burdick avenues at about 5 p.m. May 8.
16 Two males were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an officer found them walking into the fenced area at the Oak Creek Water Treatment Facility, 9325 S. 5th Ave., at about 6 p.m. May 8. One of the males was also cited for possession of a switchblade knife.
17 A male was arrested for possession of marijuana at Marathon Gas, 9502 S. Howell Ave., at about 3 p.m. May 12.
18 A man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) after he was pulled over for an unsafe lane deviation in the 2600 block of West Ryan Road at about 3:40 a.m. May 10.
19 A man was arrested for drunken driving after multiple witnesses stated he was driving recklessly on the lawn at Haas Park, 4215 E. Elm Road, at about 8 p.m. May 10. He refused field sobriety testing. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.22.
20 Two people were transported to the hospital for treatment of neck and back pain after a two-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of West Ryan Road at about 10 a.m. May 6. One driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn and the other driver was cited for violating a yellow light.
21 A male was transported to Froedtert Hospital after he struck the rear of vehicle with his motorcycle in the 8900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue at about 4:55 a.m. May 10. The motorcyclist was ejected, and the motorcycle continued south several hundred feet after the impact. The motorcyclist was issued a citation for unreasonable and imprudent speed, and was later cited for drunken driving.
22 Police and firefighters responded to a truck and garage fire in the 7600 block of South Quincy Avenue at 2 p.m. May 9. The fire started in the truck's engine compartment, and the fire spread to the interior of the vehicle and to the front exterior of the garage. There were no injuries.
23 A female was arrested for prostitution (escort license required) after police found a large purse filled with condoms, a bag of luggage containing only panties and bras, and numerous sex toys in the bathroom during a knock-and-talk consent search of her hotel room at Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., at about 5:50 p.m. May 7. During police questioning the woman admitted she was charging males $150 for sex.
24 An anonymous caller reported there was an "angry goose" that was charging at traffic and causing vehicles to swerve in the 9300 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue at about 12:25 p.m. May 8. The responding officer herded the geese out of the road and into the ditch area.
25 A resident reported that she and her dog were attacked by a raccoon living in her roof in the 100 block of West College Avenue at about 10:35 p.m. May 8. The caller and her dog were not bitten, and police advised her to contact an animal removal company.
26 A woman was arrested and cited for defecating and/or urinating in public at Milwaukee Area Technical College, 6665 S. Howell Ave., about 12:30 p.m. May 9. A security guard witnessed the incident.
27 A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a road-rage incident at Blain's Farm & Fleet, 501 W. Rawson Ave., at about 5:55 p.m. May 9. The same suspect was later arrested for criminal damage to property after he damaged a door at the business at 7:30 p.m.
28 Children found a box containing eight capped needles, white powder and small plastic bags in a wooded area just southwest of St. Matthew's Cemetery in the 9300 block of South Chicago Road at about 8:45 p.m. May 9. Police confiscated the box and destroyed the contents.
· Three Oak Creek residents reported their Social Security numbers were used to file fraudulent 2013 income tax returns between May 6 and May 13.
· Oak Creek police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with 22 rescue calls and two fire calls between May 5 and May 13.
