A refrigerator, a citizens band radio and a TV/VCR were taken from a truck at Flying J, 9650 S. 20th St., prior to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Loss is estimated at $480. The truck's stereo was damaged; damage is estimated at $340.
A television, a drill, a flashlight and $15 were taken from a vehicle at the U.S. Post Office, 7620 S. 10th St., between 4 p.m. Oct. 14 and 2:20 a.m. Oct. 15.
A 53-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft for taking $142 worth of merchandise from Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., about 4:45 p.m. Oct. 14. He also was cited for obstructing an officer for giving a fake name.
A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., about 5 p.m. Oct. 14. She also was arrested for possessing a controlled substance after antidepressants were found in her pocket. A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for being party to a theft.
A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft for taking a cable router and coiled nails from Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., about 1:15 p.m. Oct. 15.
A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft for taking $331 worth of diesel fuel from Citgo, 150 W. Rawson Ave., at 5:49 p.m. Oct. 15. The man falsely claimed he worked for EDIS Trucking and asked employees to put the fuel on that account. After being stopped by the store owner, the man gave him $280 and fled.
Tools valued at $1,150 were taken from a truck in the 1200 block of West College Avenue between 7 p.m. Oct. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 17. The truck's rear cap was forced open. Damage is estimated at $200.
A Barack Obama campaign sign was taken from the 2400 block of West St. John's Way prior to 4:15 p.m. Oct. 17. A John McCain sign was left in its place.
A 17-year-old South Milwaukee boy was arrested for retail theft about 9:15 p.m. Oct. 19 for taking cigars and a bottle of liquor from Piggly Wiggly, 2201 E. Rawson Ave., the night before. He also was cited for disorderly conduct for threatening employees.
A man was assaulted when two men threw rocks at him near Hy-View Mobile Home Park, 2439 W. Carroll Ave., about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17.
A 19-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 9000 block of South Howell Avenue about 7:15 p.m. Oct. 13.
A 45-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for possessing marijuana during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of East Rawson Avenue about 2:45 a.m. Oct. 18.
A 17-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 2400 block of West Rawson Avenue at 4:19 p.m. Oct. 19.
A 17-year-old South Milwaukee boy was arrested for drunken driving after he was observed doing "doughnuts" in the 8800 block of South Fifth Avenue about 4 a.m. Oct. 14. His blood-alcohol content was 0.12. Another 17-year-old South Milwaukee boy was arrested for possessing intoxicants as an underage adult. His BAC was 0.24.
A 19-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for his third drunken-driving offense in the 600 block of East Rawson Avenue about 1 a.m. Oct. 19. His BAC was 0.13. He also was cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle. Two other Oak Creek men, 19 and 20, were arrested for possessing intoxicants as underage adults.
A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital to be treated for facial fractures after a vehicle collision at Howell and Rawson avenues about 9 p.m. Oct. 13. The boy was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a vehicle turning from westbound Rawson onto southbound Howell. In the collision, his head hit the windshield. A 75-year-old Oak Creek man also was taken to Froedtert for treatment of facial injuries, and a 16-year-old Caledonia girl was taken to Aurora St. Luke's South Shore as a precautionary measure.
Profanities were scratched into a vehicle in the 8100 block of South 13th Street between 7:45 p.m. Oct. 11 and 7 a.m. Oct. 12. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
A vehicle's tires were slashed and its hood, bumper and driver-side door were dented in the 7100 block of South 13th Street prior to 4:45 a.m. Oct. 14. Damage is estimated at $2,500.
The Oak Creek Police Department responded to nine domestic disputes last week.
