Tattoo and body-piercing establishments are officially welcome in the city of Oak Creek.
The Common Council approved an amendment, 4-1, at its meeting Tuesday night allowing these types of businesses in the city.
Mayor Dick Bolender thinks this is a step in the right direction for Oak Creek and hopes it will attract some quality businesses to the city.
"I think this is all a part of what's happening in the world in 2009," he said at the meeting.
Alderman Daniel Bukiewicz agreed.
"It looks like we're a little bit behind," he said. "Most cities have already adopted something like this."
