1 A man was arrested for shoplifting after he concealed a $49 drill in a diaper bag and attempted to leave without paying at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at about 2:10 p.m. March 24.
2 A woman was cited for shoplifting after she attempted to push a cart filled with $291 worth of unpaid groceries out into the parking lot at Woodman's, 8131 S. Howell Ave., at about 5:35 p.m. March 24. When she was confronted by an employee she left the cart behind and fled in a white Chevy Impala. The suspect was positively identified through her vehicle registration and was cited by mail.
3 A woman's wallet — containing $3, a debit card, driver's license and Social Security card — was stolen after she mistakenly left it in a shopping cart at Pick 'n Save, 6462 S. 27th St., between 2 and 3 p.m. March 25.
4 A woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing $225 worth of copper in her purse at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at about 12:35 p.m. March 26. Police also discovered the same suspect, who had her 3-year-old daughter with her, had just shoplifted copper from the Menards in Franklin. She was transported to their department for booking.
5 A softball backpack containing various equipment was stolen from the trunk of a vehicle at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. March 26. The value of the backpack and contents is estimated at $945.
6 A driver who struck a fire hydrant in the 6800 block of South Howell Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. March 26 was found to have several DVDs stolen from a Milwaukee Walgreens and was also a suspect in an earlier shoplifting incident in Oak Creek. He was taken into custody and was cited for operating without a valid driver's license, unsafe lane deviation and operating without insurance.
7 A male suspect was arrested for shoplifting an 18-volt cordless drill at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 9:45 a.m. March 29.
8 Two boys were arrested for shoplifting after one of them was seen stuffing two mini speaker packages, valued at $60, down his pants while the other shielded him and acted as lookout at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at about 6:25 p.m. March 29.
9 A blue 1998 Pontiac Bonneville was taken from Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., at about 11:15 a.m. March 30. The woman who called police said a male friend who was staying with her in a room stole the vehicle, which belonged to her fiancé, and $250. But her fiancé told police he never gave the woman herself permission to take his vehicle and will be filing a theft report against her with the Milwaukee Police Department.
· Four Oak Creek residents reported an unknown subject used their Social Security number to file a fraudulent 2013 tax return between March 24 and March 31.
10 A girl was arrested for battery after she confronted another girl and began punching her in the lobby area at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at about 12:25 p.m. March 25. The suspect was allegedly upset that the victim was dating her ex-boyfriend and had been sending the victim threatening text messages prior to the assault.
11 A male suspect was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing five items at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at about 11 a.m. March 28.
12 A female was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found glass pipe with marijuana residue inside her purse following a traffic stop after in the 300 block of West Puetz Road at 2:45 p.m. March 25. she had been pulled over and cited for speeding in a school zone.
13 A female was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 2300 block of East Rawson Avenue at 2 a.m. March 27. Police found two glass pipes with residue, a marijuana grinder and one gram of marijuana inside her vehicle when she was pulled over and cited for an unsafe lane deviation.
14 A man was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver after police found 122 grams of cocaine inside five plastic bags inside he glove box of his vehicle following a traffic stop in the 170 block of West Drexel Avenue at about 10 a.m. March 28. A female passenger was also arrested for resisting arrest after she pushed the car door into an officer and ran. Police used a Taser to subdue her.
15 A man was arrested for possession of Schedule II narcotics and carrying a concealed weapon following a traffic stop in the 6300 block of South 13th Street at about midnight March 28. He was also cited for operating after suspension and non-registration of a vehicle. Police found eight oxycodone pills in his jacket pocket and a semi-automatic Beretta .45 caliber handgun with 10 rounds in the magazine underneath the driver's seat of his car.
16 A female was arrested for possession of marijuana when police found a bag containing five grams of THC inside the car she was riding in after it was pulled over for a traffic violation in the 800 block of West College Avenue at about 3:45 a.m. March 29.
17 Officers assisting the Milwaukee police in locating a possible suspect in hit-and-run accident arrested a woman for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia at the Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., at 11:30 a.m. March 29. After police located the suspect vehicle, they forced their way into her room and found the suspect trying to conceal a glass pipe containing semi-burnt marijuana and a folded piece of paper containing a white, powdery substance that she admitted was cocaine. The woman was also cited for trespassing for past escort violations at the business.
18 A man was arrested for drunken driving and received a written warning for an unsafe lane deviation in the 400 block of East College Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. March 28. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.15.
19 A suspect was arrested for drunken driving and received a written warning for an unsafe lane deviation and no insurance in the 1800 block of East Drexel Avenue at about 3:10 a.m. March 29. The preliminary BAC was 0.15.
20 A man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) after he drove his vehicle into a ditch and struck a guard rail in the 7400 block of South 13th Street, and then kept on driving southbound in the ditch across two separate properties before coming to a stop in the 7700 block of South 13th Street after being wedged into the ditch at about 3:45 a.m. March 29. His preliminary BAC was 0.21.
21 One person was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for treatment of neck pain after a semi and a truck collided in the 1800 block of West Ryan Road at 7:10 a.m. March 26. One of the drivers was cited for failure to stop at a red light and the other driver was cited for deviating from a designated lane.
22 A woman was transported to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of wrist pain after she lost control of her vehicle, struck a mailbox, and then struck an electrical pole in the 3600 block of East Elm Road at about 9:15 p.m. March 27. She was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control.
23 A woman reported her car was scratched on the hood and driver's side in the parking lot of UPS, 6800 S. 6th St., between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. March 21. Damage is estimated at $500.
24 Two girls scratched a vehicle in the 9200 block of South Chicago Road at about 1 p.m. March 28. The owner witnessed the incident and confronted the girls, who fled in a green Grand Am or Grand Prix. Damage is estimated at $300.
25 A window was smashed on a car at the Oak Park Apartments, 8828 S. Oak Park Drive, between 1 and 10:25 a.m. March 29. Damage is estimated at $150.
26 A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he rear-ended a vehicle in the 7700 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue, and then spit in the other driver's face at about 9:30 a.m. March 24. The victim told police both she and the suspect, who was driving a City Wide Transit vehicle, got out of their vehicles and got into an argument before he spit in her face and fled the scene.
27 A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he got out of his car at a stoplight in the 1000 block of West Rawson Avenue, walked up to the vehicle in front of his car, spit at the driver and then fled eastbound on Rawson Avenue at about 1 p.m. March 25. The victim told police the suspect had been dating her sister, and she believed he thought it was her inside the car because they drive similar vehicles.
28 A male suspect was arrested for six counts of forgery on March 27 in connection with counterfeit bills that had been passed at the cafeteria and bookstore of Milwaukee Area Technical College, 6665 S. Howell Ave., prior to 1:45 p.m. March 26.
29 A girl was cited for disorderly conduct after she became upset with a teacher who was escorting her to the nurse's office at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 1:50 p.m. March 26.
30 A man was cited for carrying a concealed weapon (a knife) after police found him asleep in the driver's seat of his car in the middle of the intersection of South Delaine and South Crane drives at about 11:30 p.m. March 27. The man, who was also cited for driving while suspended, told police he fell asleep because of grueling work schedule.
31 A woman intentionally tripped a child at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at about 1:05 p.m. March 28. The woman had apparently told the boy repeatedly that his shoelaces were untied. The boy's mother told the woman they would take care of it, but as they were leaving the store the woman said "I'll show you what happens if you don't tie your shoes," and then stepped on the boy's shoelaces, causing him to trip into his mother. The boy was not injured. The officer spoke with store security who positively identified the suspect, and police left a warning about the complaint at her residence.
· Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 15 rescue calls and one fire call between March 24 and March 31.
