1Two 6-foot tall tubular steel garden planter racks, valued at $299 each, were stolen from Piggly Wiggly, 2201 E. Rawson Ave., between noon March 13 and 10:30 a.m. March 22.
2Two men were arrested for shoplifting after one of them was seen stuffing a $300 LCD camera down his pants at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 1:55 p.m. March 16.
3A man was arrested for possession of marijuana after K-9 Bronco found 32 grams of high-grade THC inside a suitcase in his room at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave., at 8:05 p.m. March 16. He also was arrested on a Wisconsin Community Corrections warrant for a parole violation and a Waukesha County Sheriff's Department warrant for paternity contempt.
4A woman's purse containing keys, a checkbook and a wallet was stolen off a chair at Southshore Dental Group, 7270 S. 13th St., between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 17.
5A teacher reported her $500 Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone was stolen from her desk at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, between 11:15 and 11:35 a.m. March 17.
6A resident of the 6400 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue reported a man broke into their garage and stole two chainsaws about 1:30 a.m. March 19. The daughter of the resident told police that she saw the man, who seemed intoxicated, holding a large piece of deer meat that he had stolen from a freezer inside the garage, and she had to physically remove it from his hands before he fled. She did not know he had also stolen the chainsaws until later that day. He had entered through a service door.
7A male was arrested for shoplifting after he was caught concealing $252 worth of clothes inside his clothing at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at 11:50 a.m. March 21.
8Six outdoor motion lights, valued at $8 each, were stolen from a home in the 6600 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue between midnight and 7:50 p.m. March 22.
9A man was arrested for shoplifting after he attempted to steal hundreds of dollars worth of razors at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., at 9:30 a.m. March 23. He was taken into custody for having a valid commitment for theft through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
10A male was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after a K-9 unit found 1 gram of THC and a glass pipe inside the center console of his vehicle during a traffic stop in the 2000 block of West College Avenue at 4:15 p.m. March 18.
11A man was arrested for possession of marijuana after K-9 Bronco found 2 grams of THC in his vehicle after he was stopped and cited for running a red light in the 1900 block of West Ryan Road at 11:50 p.m. March 22. The driver told police he was currently being prosecuted for a felony drug charge in Milwaukee County, so he also was arrested for bail jumping.
12A man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana and driving with a revoked license after a motorist called 911 to report the driver of a black Honda Civic got out of his car at 13th Street and Ryan Road and assaulted the driver of a Mercedes Benz at 8:30 p.m. March 17. Police found the man, who stated he was just arguing with the driver of the Mercedes because he was tailgating him on the freeway. He was arrested after he failed field sobriety testing and the officer found a pill bottle containing 5 grams of THC inside the driver-side door.
13A man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over and cited for speeding in the 10000 block of South 27th Street at 2:15 a.m. March 19. His blood-alcohol content was 0.20.
14A woman was arrested for an absolute sobriety violation after she was pulled over by police and admitted to drinking at a friend's house prior to driving in the 700 block of East Puetz Road at 2:30 a.m. March 20. Her BAC was 0.12.
15A woman was arrested for drunken driving after a motorist reported he was following a vehicle that was swerving all over the roadway and drove up on onto a median in the 7000 block of South Howell Avenue at 12:10 p.m. March 21. When police arrived, the driver had passed out. She was taken to Wheaton Franciscan for evaluation and a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
16A woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was pulled over for swerving out of her lane of traffic in the 100 block of West Puetz Road at 2:10 a.m. March 22. The driver failed field sobriety testing but refused to take a breath test and was taken into custody.
17A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 1800 block of East Drexel Avenue at 2:30 a.m. March 23. His BAC was 0.10.
18An anonymous caller asked police to check on a middle-aged, white man who was wearing a khaki jumpsuit and had paper flowers in his hair, after he was heard singing in the bathroom and talking to himself at Starbucks, 2015 W. Ryan Road, at 8:25 a.m. March 17. Police found the man, who stated that he just likes coffee and was not talking to himself, but talking to his father on his cellphone. He left Starbucks without further incident.
19A resident in the 1000 block of East Montana Avenue called police after she found four hand grenades while cleaning out her attic at 6:10 p.m. March 18. The resident told police her deceased husband had stashed the grenades up there without her knowledge. Police responded to the home and found a rifle-fired grenade, a hand grenade, a trip-wire flare and a smoke grenade. All were live military ordnance that appeared to have been kept in the house by the resident's deceased husband, who had been in military service. The items were recovered and destroyed by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit.
20A male was cited for disorderly conduct after he caused a disruption in a classroom he wasn't supposed to be in and also swore at a school administrator at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 10:50 a.m. March 20.
21A boy was cited for disorderly conduct after he became verbally abusive with a school administrator, would not stop screaming and pounding on the walls, and caused a disturbance in front of other students at Oak Creek West Middle School, 8401 S. 13th St., at 3:25 p.m. March 20.
22A woman reported she was bitten on her left thigh by a German shepherd while she was jogging in the 10600 block of South Nicholson Road about 6:30 p.m. March 20. Police spoke with the dog owner, who provided paperwork that the dog was up to date on its rabies vaccination. The victim refused medical attention, and the Health Department was notified.
23A male student was arrested for possession of child pornography and exposing harmful materials to a child for showing nude photos on his cellphone to other students at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 10:30 a.m. March 21.
24A member of the Oak Creek Fire Department called police after a taxi driver dropped off a highly intoxicated person at Fire Station 2, 3950 E. Oakwood Road, at 9:10 p.m. March 22. The person was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
25A manager reported an intoxicated man, who possibly had a gun holstered under his shirt, and was carrying two knives came into Buffalo Wild Wings, 8261 S. Howell Ave., and became upset because they wouldn't serve him alcohol at 10:30 p.m. March 22. The manager stated he called police because he was concerned about an intoxicated person carrying weapons. Police found the man riding a bicycle on Howell Avenue, and found he did have two knives in his possession, but they weren't concealed. He was given a ride home and advised about the complaint.
26Police responding to a 911 call from a room at Value Inn, 9420 S. 20th St., cited a woman for prostitution (escort license required) and a man for disorderly conduct after it was discovered they were arguing over money paid for sexual services offered by the woman at 12:45 a.m. March 23. During questioning, the man admitted to contacting the woman on a website for prostitutes, and stated he was upset because she was rushing him after he paid $200 for one hour with her and she wanted to leave before the hour was up.
· Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 13 rescue calls and two fire calls between March 17 and March 24.
