Police Report: Dec. 10

ROBBERY

1 A man was arrested for armed robbery after he walked into PDQ Foods, 6300 S. 27th St., carrying a hammer and demanding money from the register at 12:22 a.m. Dec. 6. The suspect fled on foot with $45 but was located and apprehended by police at 10:50 p.m. Dec. 7.

BURGLARY

2 About $3,000 worth of items, including a laptop computer and $400 cash, was taken from a locked residence in the 6700 block of South 20th Street between 11:45 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. Dec. 4. The unknown suspect(s) forced a rear door open to gain entry.

3 A 24-inch Ariens snowblower, valued at $450, and a $100 car battery were taken from a locked trailer at Marinoff Engine, 1121 W. Rawson Ave., between Oct. 20 and Dec. 8. The lock was cut off the rear door of the trailer for entry.

THEFT

4 Two Bobcat sprocket hubs, valued at $500 each, and two trailer ramp extensions were taken from AFI Direct Service, 7515 S. 10th St., at 11:04 p.m. Nov. 19. The incident was captured on video surveillance, but no suspect information was available.

5 A man was cited for fraud on an innkeeper after he left Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., without paying his $189 bill at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 3.

6 A Milwaukee tool bag containing a Milwaukee 18-volt trim saw and charger, valued at $250, and an electrical test meter, valued at $125, was taken from an unlocked work truck at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., between 4:45 and 5 p.m. Dec. 3.

7 A laptop computer and a tablet computer were taken from a home in the 2300 block of West Lindenwood Avenue prior to 5:10 p.m. Dec. 3. The victim named her son as a suspect.

8 About $3,000 worth of tools were taken from a van at Menards between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 4. An officer viewed video surveillance of the incident and observed the suspect, a 40- to 50-year-old man wearing glasses, a black jacket and blue jeans, drive up in a white minivan and enter the victim's van twice, before going into the store.

9 A woman reported her purse containing credit and debit cards, $20 and a cellphone was taken at Pick 'n Save, 6462 S. 27th St., after she left it in a grocery cart at about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 4.

10 A case of 20 CDs, a men's coat and a pair of men's shoes, together valued at $350, were taken from a locked car at South Shore Cinema, 7261 S. 13th St., prior to 9:35 p.m. Dec. 4. A passenger side rear window was smashed.

11 About $15 in bills and change was taken from a locked vehicle at South Shore Cinema between 4 and 9:45 p.m. Dec. 4. The rear driver-side window was smashed.

12 A $200 purse was taken from a locked vehicle at South Shore Cinema at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 4. The front passenger side window was smashed.

13 A $60 battery jumping pack and a $30 digital media charger were taken from a locked vehicle parked at Fairfield Inn, 6460 S. 13th St., between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 3 a.m. Dec. 5. The rear passenger side window was smashed.

14 A car stereo faceplate and a Glock model G19 handgun, valued at $600, were taken from an unlocked vehicle at Tanglewood Apartments, 9200 S. Meyer Lane, between 12:30 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 5. The thief left a flashlight behind and it was confiscated for evidence.

15 A 1996 Chevy Lumina was taken from the parking lot at LaQuinta, 7141 S. 13th St., between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and about 12:45 p.m. Dec. 5. At about 8:05 the same evening, the stolen vehicle was pulled over by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department, and the occupant, who had felony warrants, was taken into custody.

16 Two unidentified women shoplifted two Prada eyeglass frames, three Versace frames and two Ray Ban frames, together valued at $2,020, at Pearle Vision, 8907 S. Howell Ave., at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5. The suspects, described as two black women in their 30s, one heavy-set with short hair and the other with a long weave and wearing a neon green jacket, fled northbound in a white Chevy.

17 A cellphone and a laptop computer, together valued at $550, were taken from a locked vehicle at Value Cinema, 6912 S. 27th St., between 7:30 and 8:45 p.m. Dec. 5. A passenger side window was smashed.

18 A pair of black knee-high boots and a lunch box containing a driver's license and a debit card were taken from a locked car at Value Cinema between 6 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 5. The front passenger side window was smashed.

19 A $150 tire and aluminum rim were taken off a car in the 3400 block of East Ryan Road between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 6.

20 A man was arrested for shoplifting a $559 vacuum cleaner after he took it off the floor and attempted to make a fraudulent return, then fled with the vacuum after being questioned at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at about 3:35 p.m. Dec. 6.

21 A woman was cited for defrauding an innkeeper after she and another woman left without paying a $30 bill at Applebee's, 7135 S. 13th St., at about 1 a.m. Dec. 8.

22 A woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing $93 worth of merchandise in her purse at Menards at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 9.

23 A male was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen stuffing $252 worth of gloves down his pants and then tried to flee when stopped by security at Menards at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 9.

DRUG POSSESSION

23 A boy was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 9:25 a.m. Dec. 3.

24 A boy was arrested for possession of schedule II narcotics after the student admitted to having seven Percocet pills and four Vicodin pills in a contact lens case in his pants pocket at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 12:45 p.m. Dec. 3.

25 A man was arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia and was cited for operating after revocation and obstructing an officer after he was pulled over in the 700 block of East Fitzsimmons Road for having multiple arrest warrants through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office at about 2:50 a.m. Dec. 4.

26 A male was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police found 18.5 grams of marijuana inside a plastic container and plastic bag and a homemade marijuana pipe with THC residue in his room at LaQuinta, 7141 S. 13th St., during a routine check at 12:20 a.m. Dec. 28.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

27 A man was arrested for drunken driving (seventh offense) after motorists called police in South Milwaukee and Oak Creek to report an erratic driver in a blue van that was continually switching lanes and driving at a very slow speed on West Drexel Avenue and South Howell Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. Dec. 4. Police located the vehicle in the parking lot at Wendy's, where the driver was found sleeping in the driver's seat. He was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw, the results of which were unavailable, and then transported to county jail.

28 A man was arrested for drunken driving after police pulled him over for speeding and operating after suspension in the 9700 block of South 27th Street at about 2 a.m. Dec. 5. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.14.

29 A man was arrested for drunken driving (fifth offense) and operating while revoked, and cited for speeding and an unsafe lane deviation in the 9000 block of South Chicago Road at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 7. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

30 A man was arrested for drunken driving and received a warning for failure to yield while making a left turn on South 13th Street and West Puetz Road at 1:55 a.m. Dec. 7. His preliminary BAC was 0.13.

31 A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 200 block of East College Avenue at 2:50 a.m. Dec. 7. His preliminary BAC was 0.18.

ACCIDENTS

32 One man was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for treatment of facial injuries after a driver pulling out of the parking lot at Woodman's in the 8100 block of South Howell Avenue collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Howell Avenue at about 4 p.m. Dec. 3. The first driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

33 Three people were transported to the hospital after a vehicle driving southbound in the 8500 block of South Howell Avenue collided with a vehicle attempting to cross Howell Avenue from east to west at 4:25 p.m. Dec. 3. The second driver told police she never saw the southbound vehicle. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an uncontrolled intersection.

34 One person was transported to All Saints Hospital in Racine after a vehicle driving westbound on East Highway 100 struck the rear of a vehicle that turned left from South Pennsylvania Avenue to go westbound on Highway 100 at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 4. The turning driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

VANDALISM

35 The front driver's side window of a vehicle was smashed in the 9900 block of South Reinhart Drive between 6:25 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Dec. 4. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $200.

36 A resident in the 7900 block of South Wake Forest Drive reported her outside Christmas lights were cut between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 p.m. Dec. 5.

OTHER

37 A resident in the 8600 block of South Stratford Road called police after he received a package that appeared to have been tampered with at 5:26 p.m. Dec. 3. The caller told police he ordered birth announcements from Shutterfly, and when he received the package he found a white, powdery substance and several pills inside of it. Police are investigating.

38 A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance by swearing loudly, pounding on a door and trying to break into a residence in the 2500 block of West Carroll Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 4. The suspect told police he was upset because he was told to leave the property, but he wanted to take his beer with him.

39 A male juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct after he confronted another student in a hallway, threatened his life, and attempted to get the student to fight him at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, on Dec. 4. The student is facing state charges and was transported to juvenile intake.

40 A former male resident at Meadowmere Mitchell Manor, 701 E. Puetz Road, was cited for disorderly conduct after he dropped off Christmas gifts, one of them containing a porn tape for a female employee, along with a three-page letter to three female employees that contained sexual and profane language at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 5. The suspect was apparently upset because he was told several days earlier that he would be cited for trespassing if he returned to the property.

41 Three people were arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing officers after a loud fight/disturbance at a home in the 300 block of East Susan Drive at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 8.

· Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 11 rescue calls and three fire-related calls between Dec. 3 and Dec. 9.
