1A Playstation 2, a Wii system with two games, a cased DeWalt hammer drill, a Nikita 18-volt cordless drill, A Skil saw and a DeWalt 12-inch table saw were stolen from a home in the 2300 block of West St. John's Way between June 28 and July 20. The items' owner told police she suspected a family member and another person. Loss is estimated at $1,400.
2A woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was identified as one of two people who stole baby formula at the Pick 'n Save stores at 2320 W. Ryan Road and 6462 S. 27th Street in 23 incidents between July 7 and July 24. During the investigation, police discovered the woman shoplifted formula at a Caledonia Pick 'n Save last year, and was arrested for that theft in Kenosha on Oct. 20, 2012. Police also discovered the male suspect is in jail for bail jumping after he was arrested for shoplifting at the Hales Corners Pick 'n Save on July 18 of this year. During the 23 incidents, the two stole a total of $2,253 worth of formula at the Ryan Road store and $867 worth of formula at the College Avenue store.
3A woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police found 3.7 grams of marijuana in the vehicle she was riding in near the Red Roof Inn in the 6300 block of South 13th Street at 6:55 p.m. July 27. During questioning, the woman admitted she had been arrested for prostitution in West Allis a few days earlier, and an officer found her online post advertising her escort services. The woman allowed the officer to search her text messages, confirming solicitation of sexual acts for various prices from multiple people. She was cited for having no escort license, and was taken into custody on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant for a probation violation. The male driver of the vehicle was cited because his vehicle's registration was expired and for driving with a suspended license.
4A woman was arrested for drunken driving after an officer pulled her over for driving without headlights in the 7900 block of South 20th Street at 1:50 a.m. July 26.
5A woman was arrested for drunken driving, cited for possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle and received a written warning for speeding at 20th Street and Rawson Avenue at 1:50 a.m. July 27. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.14.
6Two drivers, a man and a woman, were taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with a possible broken arm and neck/back injuries after the woman rear-ended the man's vehicle in the 1300 block of West Drexel Avenue at 11:45 a.m. July 27. The woman was cited for inattentive driving.
7Five teenage boys in a vehicle were cited for disorderly conduct after one of the teens threw a can of soda at a woman who was jogging at Shepard Avenue and Oakwood Road, and then drove past her three or four more times and yelled insults at her about 6:50 a.m. July 26. Officers tracked down the driver through the license plate number of the vehicle, who stated his passengers were the ones responsible for the poor conduct. When an officer attempted to talk to the suspects at a nearby residence, a door slammed in the officer's face. All five teens were issued citations.
8A female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after canine officer Bronco found a glass pipe with cocaine residue in the driver-side door of her vehicle in the 1300 block of West College Avenue at 2:15 p.m. July 26. In addition, she was cited for driving with a suspended license and not having insurance.
9A motorist called police to report the driver of a Gold Windstar was tailgating her, passed her on 13th Street at Willow Drive, then continued to tailgate other vehicles, causing hazardous driving conditions, about 5 p.m. July 26. Police stopped the driver, who said he was in a hurry to get home because he didn't want his fish fry to get cold, but didn't admit to tailgating. The officer warned the driver about the complaint and that further complaints would result in citations.
10A female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after canine officer Bronco found a pipe and THC residue under the driver and front passenger seats of her vehicle in the 500 block of West Rawson Avenue at 5:10 p.m. July 26. In addition, she was cited for driving with a suspended license, third offense, and not having insurance.
11A resident called police to report his neighbor keeps taking stones out of a recessed area he is protecting on his property in the 2300 block of West Lindenwood Avenue at 11:30 a.m. July 27. Prior to officer's arrival at the residence, the neighbor called to report the first caller was being verbally abusive toward her. The responding officer spoke with both people and advised the initial caller not to use vulgar words when speaking to his neighbor, and told the neighbor to stop touching her neighbor's rocks.
· Oak Creek police assisted with seven rescue calls and one fire call between July 25 and July 27.
