THEFT
1A 57-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting $261 worth of beer and groceries at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., between Jan. 25 and March 5. She used the self-checkout lane to pay for some but not all of her items on 25 separate occasions.
2A 63-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after he stole a cart full of groceries at Woodman's, 8131 S. Howell Ave., and fled in a maroon car at 7:45 a.m. March 7. A store manager attempted to stop the suspect in the parking lot but he was unsuccessful. The suspect was identified by the manager and by the license plate number on the vehicle and a citation was issued.
3A 49-year-old Hales Corners woman was arrested for shoplifting several t-shirts and beauty products worth $327 by hiding them under a mesh bag in her shopping cart at Kohl's, 9035 S. Howell Ave., at 9:10 p.m. March 7.
4A $500 spare tire was stolen off the frame of a semi at Truck Country, 2222 W. Ryan Road, between 9 p.m. March 7 and 8 a.m. March 8.
5A brown and black leopard-print purse containing a checkbook, cell phone, wallet with Social Security and Medicare cards, credit cards, $80 in cash, two sets of keys and other items was stolen from an 85-year-old woman shopping at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at about 3:30 p.m. March 8.
6A one-quart can of blue automotive paint worth $137, was stolen from the auto body shop at Milwaukee Area Technical College, 6665 S. Howell Ave., between 2:20 p.m. and 2:25 p.m. March 7. Video surveillance is being reviewed.
7Two 15-inch power bass speakers, an amp and a deck worth $550 were stolen from a vehicle in the 6800 block of South Timber Ridge Lane between 9 p.m. March 10 and 4:45 a.m. March 11. The thief entered the vehicle through the passenger-side window, which had been sealed with duct tape.
8A 41-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was caught trying to leave without paying for a cart filled $422 worth of groceries at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at 7:55 p.m. March 11.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
9A 26-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after he lost control of his truck, struck and knocked over a corner traffic sign and got stuck in a ditch in the 9400 block of South Nicholson Road at 2:10 p.m. March 7. His blood alcohol content was 0.28.
10A 29-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) after an employee reported a possible intoxicated driver slurring his words while ordering food in the drive-thru at McDonald's, 9471 S. 13th St., at 2:45 a.m. March 8. His BAC was 0.15.
11A 28-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) after he backed his car into a vehicle in the parking lot at Shell Gas, 2170 W. Ryan Road, at 9:50 p.m. March 8. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
12A 21-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after an officer observed him slide into a snow bank at the northeast corner of the intersection of South 13th Street and West Puetz Road at 4 a.m. March 10. His BAC was 0.19.
ACCIDENTS
13A 19-year-old Franklin woman was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with neck and back pain after her car was rear-ended by another vehicle in the 9100 block of South Howell Avenue at 7:25 p.m. March 5. The driver of the striking car, a 55-year-old Franksville man, was cited for following too closely.
14A 19-year-old Oak Creek woman was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with neck, back and chest pain after she crossed the southbound lane of travel in the 7800 block of South Howell Avenue to make a left turn into Guardian Credit Union, causing a collision involving four vehicles at 4:50 p.m. March 7. She was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
VANDALISM
15An unknown subject smashed out the rear passenger-side window of a vehicle parked at LaQuinta, 7141 S. 13th St., between 7:30 p.m. March 6 and 6:17 a.m. March 7. Nothing was reported missing from inside the vehicle. Damage is estimated at $250.
16While responding to the above vandalism call, an officer located a second vehicle with the driver's side window smashed out. The owner of the vehicle was out of town and it was unknown if anything was stolen. Damage is estimated at $250.
17The driver's side window of a van was smashed in the 1400 block of West Ryan Road prior to 3:50 p.m. March 8. Damage is estimated at $150.
18A car sustained numerous scratches on the passenger side door, quarter panel and truck lid in the 1900 block of East Hickory Drive between the late evening hours of March 10 and 11 a.m. March 11. Damage is estimated at $500. Police are following up with a possible suspect.
OTHER
19A 20-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for disorderly conduct after he yelled threats at his neighbors and threw snowballs at them while they were on their porch at the apartment in the 8000 block of South Wildwood Drive at 5:45 p.m. March 5.
20A 15-year-old boy was arrested fohigh schoor carrying a concealed weapon after the school resource officer found a four-inch steak knife in the front waist of his pants at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 11:25 a.m. March 6.
21A 12-year-old girl was cited for disorderly conduct after she got angry at a 13-year-old boy and kicked him in the groin in front of other students at Oak Creek West Middle School, 8401 S. 13th St., at 12:50 p.m. March 7.
22A 14-year-old Oak Creek boy was cited for disorderly conduct for pulling his pants down and sitting on another student's face after the student fell on the ground at Oak Creek East Middle School, 9330 S. Shepard Ave., at about 10:40 a.m. March 8.
23A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Applebee's, 7135 S. 13th St., between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 8. The bill was confiscated and turned over to the Secret Service.
24Several males approached a bar patron in the parking lot at The Saloon 120 E. Rawson Ave., implied they had a gun and then got into a physical altercation with the patron at 1:35 a.m. March 10. The subjects then broke off the patron's car mirror before they left the lot in a green vehicle, chasing the man's friends who were driving a Mitsubishi Galant. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 15 rescue calls and two fire calls between March 5 and March 11.
