Vodvarka-Hunter

Melissa Vodvarka and Edward Hunter were married Sept. 4, 2010, in Oak Creek.

Parents of the bride are Ed and Darlene Vodvarka of Oak Creek. Parents of the groom are Elgin and Mary Hunter of DeForest.

The Rev. Patrick J. O'Loughlin officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Oak Creek Community Center.

The bride wore an ivory gown with crystals and a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of blood red roses, accented with the brooch of the grooms's grandmother.

Maid of honor was Renea Lee of St. Cloud, Minn., college roommate of the bride. Bridesmaids were Krista Vodvarka of Waukesha and Erika Vodvarka of St. Paul.

Best man was Tadd McGinnity of DeForest, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Matthew Hunter of DeForest, Andrew Hunter of San Diego and Andrew Nezworski, friend of the bride and groom.

Hannah Hunger, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Oak Creek High School and a 2009 graduate of Winona State University with a degree in exercise science. She is enrolled in the physical therapy graduate program at Concordia University in Mequon.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of DeForest High School, and he served in the military in Iraq. He is a network security student at Waukesha County Technical College.

The couple planned a honeymoon trip to Mackinac Island in Michigan.

They reside in Oak Creek.
