The Oak Creek Community Center and the Kiwanis Club of Oak Creek present: A TASTE OF ITALY. How does chicken parmesan, four cheese ravioli, penne pasta with meat sauce, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, tossed salad with dressing, garlic and cheese breadsticks, Culvers ice cream, Starbucks coffee, Black Bear soda and home baked desserts and Perkins Bakery Pies sound right about now?? Saturday, March 13th The Center is the place to be for this fine menu. Tickets available at The Center: Adults $13.50, Seniors 60 and over $11.50 and children 8 and under $6. Advance ticket purchase required. All proceeds benefit children's programs in our community! Get your tickets early!!
Join us on Sunday, March 21st from 11am-1pm for Lunch with The Bunny. Luch will be served promptly at 11am and will be followed by an assortment of fun-filled musical entertainment. The Easter Bunny will be our very special guest and will be bringing a basket for every boy and girl. 2 years and under $3.25, all others $7.50. This event does sell out!!
The committee for Citizen of the Year is now accepting applications. Applications are available at The Center or on line at www.occenter.com. Recipient may be a person, couple, or group who live or work in the City of Oak Creek. Activities involved in and accomplishments may be in one of the following categories: Civic, Social, Welfare or Education. The Center is open Mon-Thur 8am-8pm Fri. 8am-4pm and Sat. 8am-Noon. "There is no kind deed, no community service, no special help for those in need, without those who serve".
A great way to celebrate Valentine's Day!! The event includes sampling of over 30 quality wines and 30 Wisconsin Craft Beers, commemorative glasses, live musical entertainment and light appetizer service. Representatives from World Market will be on hand to provide information on the latest trends in the Wine and Craft Beer Industry. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and $15 for designated drivers. Tickets available at The Center office or by phone. Join us At The Center on Saturday Feb. 13th from 7pm-10pm!!
Tickets are now available for Friday January 22nd for our Comedy Night At The Center. Join us for a night of laughter. Tickets are $5 each in advance or $7 at the door and will include one free tap beer or soda with every purchase. Have a party of 8 or more, not a problem, let us know and we will reserve a table for you. Doors open 7:30pm Show starts 8pm. Monday-Thur. office hours 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-4pm and Sat. 8am-Noon!!

Join us on Sunday, December 6th from 5-7pm for the 8th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Oak Creek Community Center and "Citizens for A Happy Holiday" are excited to present the FREE event to residents of Oak Creek. The festivities begin at 5pm in the Community Center/Library parking lot with holiday caroling. After the tree is lit at 5:15pm, all present are invited inside the Center to warm up with hot beverages, snacks and more holiday music. Santa makes a special appearance, arriving on a Oak Creek Fire Truck and will stay until all little boys and girls get a special stocking!!
The Phoenix Players of WI present: Let Him Sleep 'Til It's Time For His Funeral by Pat Kehret
This comedic performance involves a family who each misinterpret the reasoning behind a surprise party. After a wife readies to give her husband a birthday surprise funeral in honor of his 50th birthday, events take an unexpected turn and allow for theories of murder, a life-threatening disease and an affair to surface amongst the family members. Friday November 20th $22 per person for the show and dinner. Doors open 6pm, dinner 6:30pm, show to follow. Sunday November 22nd, $13 per person for the show, beverages and sweet bar. Save the date: Fri. Septembeer 25th for our 14th Annual Beer tasting at The Center. Over 150 brews to sample, great music and raffles. The first 400 tickets sold will be special "Early Entry" at 7:30pm, tickets are $35 per person. New this year, THE VAULT, $50 per person, special tasting area with beers so expensive you probably haven't had them before!! Includes access to all other Beerfest areas. Join us on Wed Aug 12th from 7-9pm IN our ballroom as we present “The Wilson Knights Band”. Everything from Benny Goodman to Glen Miller to Duke Ellington will be heard this evening. We will have tables and chairs available for this indoor concert for our guests!!
The National Night Out Board is excited that we will hold our 13th annual event. On Tue. August 4th from 6-9pm this highly attended event will hold special short, fun safety sessions with exhibition booths, raffles, food and fireworks!! Learn about crime prevention and fire safety. Make sure to visit our food area where you can purchase inexpensive food items and stop by for a T-shirt while supplies last. New this year we will offer $10 fire extinguishers, while they last. Line up for the fireworks at 8pm, walk to the field with you free flashlight (one per family) and we hope you and your family have learned something about the community we live in!! The mission of NNO is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness: Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/fire community partnership: Generate support for and participation in anticrime efforts and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborshoods are fighting back.
Harvest Bible Chapel, in partnership with the Oak Creek Community Center, announces a community fundraiser to support the families affected by the Patrick Cudahy fire and to honor the brave firefighters who put out the flames.
This free event will be held at The Center’s outdoor Summer Concert series on Wednesday, July 22. Residents can enjoy an evening of live music by the band Speakeasy from 7-9 pm. Bring lawn chairs and pack a picnic basket. Inflatable attractions and relay races will be available for kids on The Center’s grounds located at 8580 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek.
Donations received during the event will go to the Patrick Cudahy Workers Relief Fund operated by UFCW Local 1473. Local fire fighters will also be honored during intermission.
“We wanted to do something to help hurting families,” says Joe Martinez, Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in the Franklin-Oak Creek area. “But we also wanted to honor the fire fighters who risked their lives to serve our community.”
We are into our Summer Rummages here at The Center. Mark your calendar for Sat. June 20th from 9am-2pm for the best deals in the city. The third Saturday of the month are the rummages in our parking lot! Spots are $20 for two parking spaces, the best deal in town, See you here!
Our Farmer’s Market is held the second and fourth Thur. June through Oct. Spots are $16 per date, stop at The Center for registration or download the application from our website, www.occenter.com We are looking for Art Vendors to participate at this event.

Join us Friday, June 5th from 7pm-10pm for our Wine and Beer Tasting. Tickets are available at The Center or online at our website. Our event will include a commemorative wine or beer glass for every attendee, sampling of over 40 wines and 30 Wisconsin brewed Craft beers. Entertainment from the award winning jazz group "Opan Jii". Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and Designated Driver are $15. Hours of The Center Mon-Thur 8am-8pm, Fri 8am-4pm and Sat. 8am-Noon.
Join us on Sunday April 19th from 2-6pm for the 9th annual Susie Albrecht-Mole Memorial Trust Benefit. Yvonne Rawley was 38-year wife and mother of two sons. In August of 2006, Yvonne was diagnosed with breast cancer, after a year of chemo, radiation treatments and two surgeries, she returned to work. In January of 2008, she recieved news that the cancer returned. She started treatments agan, but unfortunately, during the planning of this year's event, Yvonne lost her battle with cancer on Dec. 10th 2008. She is missed dearly. All donations will go directly to the family to help with medical expenses. Join us in celebrating Yvonne's life on Sunday. Snacks, bake sale, great raffle items, silent auction and a voice auction will conclude the event.
Oak Creek Fire Fighters Local 1848 Annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Friday, April 24th from 4-8pm. Catered by Fazoli's again, (great breadsticks!!!!) tickets are available at The Center or any of the Fire Stations. Price break for advance tickets purchased!
The Rotary Club of Mitchell Field present the Senior Citizens Prom on Sunday April 26th from 1:30-5pm. Tickets are on sale now at The Oak Creek Community Center, Bay View Communtiy Center, Grobschmidt Senior Center, Franklin Senior Citizens, Inc and the Kelly Senior Center. The event is held at The Oak Creek Community Center located at 8580 S Howell Ave. Tickets are $4 per person and include dancing, music by Village Swing Band, lunch and door prizes. Join us for an afternoon of entertainment!!

Even the police are getting tired of coming out and ask Dr. Morrissey if he could just phone in the details!! An old sea captain, a ventriloquist and a tramp, what do they have in common???
