South Milwaukee’s "Fresh Water Days" Planned for Thursday and Friday
Interest Grows To Help Businesses Affected by Water Emergency SOUTH MILWAUKEE (February 10, 2010) – Businesses are strongly getting behind Fresh Water Days, the effort by the South Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce and South Milwaukee Downtown Market to help bars and restaurants affected by the city’s water emergency last week. As part of the promotion, people are encouraged to dine out or grab a drink at one of the many South Milwaukee bars and restaurants on Thursday and Friday, February 11 and 12. There are two big incentives in place to do so: •As part of the promotion, customers of South Milwaukee bars and restaurants showing a "Fresh Water Days" sign can take advantage of meal or drink specials made available only as part of the promotion. •Also, those who stop by a participating bar or restaurant can win more than $425 in gift certificates thanks to the generosity of area businesses. That includes ten $20 gift certificates to the South Milwaukee Downtown Market – the city’s popular farmers’ market – and certificates to restaurants like Azteca, Paisano’s, Papa Luigi’s, Sunrise Family Restaurant, China Chef, Hickory Inn, Cousin Subs, PJ Variety, Johnny Mo’s Nona’s Café, Bickler’s Coach Light Inn and the list is growing! For a full list of establishments taking part in the promotion and for a list of those offering gift certificates, watch www.southmilwaukee.org throughout the week.
